This might've been the most stunning weekend all year long for fall colors in Northern Minnesota. The trees at Camp Miller had an electric color to them this weekend. Camp Miller is a gorgeous venue located in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota. It serves as a YMCA camp most of the year and has countless old and new cabins all over the forest. Wedding guests are allowed to stay in these cabins which allows for folks to celebrate a wedding weekend with ease. That is just what Kate and Erik did for their summer camp wedding.
Erik and Kate had their wedding day planned by Mary at Pure Event Planning. No detail was missed as this wedding day as their team brought to life summer camp fun in a wedding fashion. I can't recommend Mary and her team enough for any wedding. They are true professionals in hospitality and creating something gorgeous. Pure Event Planning does an outstanding job of listening to clients and then presenting them with amazing options. This day was made possible by all of the hard work of Pure Event Planning and their amazing rentals too from The Decor Lab.
Bloom Wilder a local Duluth floral farm and company came together to make the wedding arch and other arrangements throughout the day happen. The owners showed up to this wedding day to help put together everything for install. What I love about Bloom Wilder and their flowers is that most of them are grown in their own backyard in Duluth, MN.
Being in a more remote location like Camp Miller, having a food vendor who is highly skilled is so important. Black Woods Catering seamlessly created an bar out of nothing and brought together fabulous meals it is truly amazing. Black Woods Catering are the people for the job. The food is incredible and the staff are such kind professionals. They served a day full of food and drinks!
Kate and Erik's two day wedding at Camp Miller was fabulous. The party began when everyone rolled off the coach bus and stepped foot onto camp Friday night. Each guest finding their cabin stay and then enjoying a lovely dinner Friday night catered by New Scenic Cafe.
Saturday morning the day started bright and early with a jump in the lake with all of the guests. Kate and Erik jumped in first and then everyone else followed. The couple then got ready for their wedding day as guests, canoed, played camp games, and explored camp. The ceremony was deeply emotional and moving, leaving everyone at the edge of their seat! Once dinner finished up, the night ended with an a very full dance floor and some cake.
