Even as a photographer I sometimes get nervous before walking into the day. In my head, I always remind myself, that regardless even if a photographer wasn't there the wedding would still happen. These two people would choose to vow a lifetime together and would celebrate with loved ones. That's why this work feels like the greatest gift. I'm helping to preserve the details, but most importantly I'm experiencing how the day felt.
This Burlington Bay Beach Elopement was undeniably stunning. The space shared lots of memories for the couple and their family. Just outside of Two Harbors, MN sits this stretch of shoreline that has a variety of forest, rocky shoreline and a small beach. For this high noon-elopement we really lucked out with the most dreamy Lake Superior weather. Sea-smoke rolled in off the lake for the first part of the elopement, making for a moody back-drop. Right before the ceremony the sea-smoke pulled back over the lake and the sunshine came through.
